Day FiftyTwo of being Aflickionless...

After the bank card phail last night Maz had to go into the bank this morning to get out cash and replace her bank card. She was totally surprised that they could replace it right then, rather than waiting, so that was super awesome.
After the trip to the bank Maz & Russell went up to In Hair to see Sally & Gene. They were doing
head shaves in support of Dylan Ward to raise money for the cancer socity. Dylan has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia, his sister has started up a fanbook page too. Check it out here.
On the spur of the moment Maz decided that Russell was to shave his head...and that he did, thanks to Gene. So the goldy locks have gone, no more looking like a chick from behind now...haha.

Maz was also working on set as an extra today. She played a hooker...haha...was working hard for her money. No surprise it wasn't hard for her to dress like one. Red & Black lace
dress, black coat, knee high boots, hoop earrings and some red lippy.
Oh yeah and the advert that Maz worked on the other week (for 2Degrees) and its up on YouTube, so check it out (Maz hasn't spoted herself in the crowd yet). Spartacus tomorrow (5.30am start).

JayJay's photos STILL aren't up. Hopefully they will be soon, it's been a week now (well just over).

Oh interesting video Maz found today. It's about the animatronics for the
Hall of Presidents at Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort. Quite amazing how life like they look.

New Zealand Michael Jackson fans in three of the main centres have gathered to remember the king of pop. The memorial services were held yesterday in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Organiser Rose Van Wylich says New Zealanders needed a place to say goodbye. She says living so far away from Los Angeles, it was important people could gather together to support one another.

Some eastern areas of the South Island are experiencing heavy snowfall. Gerard Barry from MetService says around 15-20 centimetres of snow is forecast for the Canterbury foothills and south of the Rakaia River this morning. The Mt Hutt ski field has had to close for the day after around 20 centimetres of snowfall overnight and it is still snowing hard, with the access road closed because of the risk of avalanche. Mr Barry says snowfall is expected to continue until around midday.

Fair Go
presenter Kevin Milne is battling a brain tumour which has taken him off air and left him fighting a "dreadful" lack of energy and enthusiasm. Although the tumour in the pituitary gland is benign, Milne may need surgery to protect his eyes and other parts of his brain.

Most people would shudder at the thought of seeing photos of their mother in lacy underwear and suspenders. Not Auckland student Michael - who twice tried to auction such saucy shots on Trade Me. The first time was to annoy his mother Jennifer after an argument. Her instruction to clear out the garage and sell unwanted items on Trade Me backfired when Michael started an auction titled "5 naked photos of my mum".It was removed by Trade Me the day after, but the 18-year-old posted a second series of "glamour photos" last Sunday - with Jennifer's approval. Although she was wearing more clothing, one was an underwear shot. The auction had more than 11,000 views before Trade Me removed it on Friday.

A Westport couple celebrated selling a queensize bed for $302,600 last night with a free historic six-bedroom guesthouse attached. Kathy Wahrlich and Wayne Saggers listed the bed and free house with a $1 reserve on online auction site Trade Me.

Twenty homes and a hospital were damaged when a tornado ripped through the Far North yesterday afternoon. Residents were evacuated as the twister made landfall at Ninety Mile Beach and left a trail of destruction as it headed south east through Kaitaia.

Next time you're enjoying a classic Kiwi dinner of fish and chips, think twice about what you're eating. New rules allow the import of frozen fillets of Vietnamese catfish or basa, a super-cheap species farmed in the polluted Mekong Delta. The move has raised concerns about health and the impact on the New Zealand fishing industry, and renewed debate on the need for compulsory country-of-origin labelling on food.

A Hamilton teenager with swine flu died at home without being diagnosed with the illness. He was one three New Zealanders to have died in the past week with swine flu more than likely to have been the cause, the Ministry of Health confirmed today. Zachary Wilson, 19, had been ill for three or four days but had not been to hospital before he died last Sunday

DAILY FOF MOMENT
We had hot dogs for dinner. Tina ate her first one and it was "mean", but on the last bite of it she thought she could smell perfume. She smelt the mustard and thought it smelt like perfume so was put off eating her second hot dog. Funny thing is, it didn't smell like perfume to the rest of us. FAIL!
