Day Nineteen of being Aflickionless...

DAY 19...ONLY 100 TO GO!!!

Maz had another day on set, which she spent most of sleeping (the job is so hard...haha). Dee has lost his voice a bit. He looked everywhere on set for it, but couldn't find it.

One of the girls preforming at Slinky on Saturday had to borrow a pair of JayJay's underwear, because the underwear Steve got was see through. OOPS!

The Transport Minister wants action this year to ban drivers from using hand-held cellphones.

AUCKLAND FORECAST TODAY
Max: 13 °C
Min: 4 °C (overnight)
Humidity: 85 %
Fine. Light winds. (Translation: it was a brilliant winters day. some people complained it was a bit cold...no idea what they were going on about.)

QUESTION OF THE DAY
Should pregnant international students be able to give birth in New Zealand?

Korean community leaders are urging the Government to allow a pregnant Korean student to have her baby in New Zealand.

Immigration NZ has told horticulture student Sung Won Kim, 31, that she is not eligible for a further permit and has to leave New Zealand by June 21 for becoming pregnant.

She has offered to pay her full medical and maternity costs up front - because she does not want to be apart from her husband, also on a temporary permit, who runs a car business in New Lynn - but Immigration says she would still be putting additional strain on New Zealand's stretched maternity services.

CURRENT WEIRDNESS
The whole going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark thing. Also how quickly your time away seems to be going.

DAILY FOF MOMENT
Not really a fail, but maybe a fail for TVNZ. From Monday's Sideswipes in the NZ Herald.
While watching TV2, my 6-year-old noticed the promotion for the upcoming programme had the big letters NXT, writes a reader. "He said: 'That's not how you spell 'next'. It's supposed to be n, e, x, t.' Touche."

Day Seventeen of being Aflickionless...

You will be thanking your lucky stars that your not here when you read about the weather we are having...all I have to say is DAMN YOU! The sky is grey, the wind is blowing (even whistling), the rain is falling and it's cold.
It's almost 4.30pm and acording to metservice it is currently 8°C but feels like 2°C...FUCK ME!

Slinky happened last night, I haven't yet had an update on what it was like...but I'm sure I will hear all about it soon enough.

Amber Cadaver is getting another tattoo this week. This time she is getting her knuckles done, Kill Bill, her favourite movie ever.

Maz has a 5.30am call time tomorrow, which means she has to be out of bed at the ridiculous hour of 3.30am. Tomorrow is definitely going to be a glass cutter of a day

An icy blast from the sub-antarctic is setting in, bringing bitterly cold temperatures to much of the North Island today. Weather Watch analyst Philip Duncan said temperatures would be low enough for snow to fall to low levels in places such as Taupo and Rotorua, which was "very rare". Wellington dropped to 3.7 degrees at lunchtime ('feels like' -5°C) and Duncan said the southerly was making it even chillier. Waiouru, in the central North island has zero degrees.
Snow could still fall as far north as the Hunua Ranges south of Auckland, and the northern tip of the Coromandel Peninsula.
Metservice has issued heavy snow warnings for Southland, Otago, Canterbury, Marlborough and the hills and ranges of Wellington, Wairarapa, Hawkes Bay, Gisborne, Manawatu, Wanganui, Taihape, Taupo and Taranaki.

My hands are frozen!

Also Farmers began trading in 1909...which means it is 100 years old now. I think that is possibly almost as old as crap gets over here. I don't know if you ever went to the old Farmers, but there was a Cockatoo there and guess what...HE IS STILL ALIVE!!!

Oh and 7 weeks till the NZ Body Art Awards...CRAP!

AUCKLAND FORECAST TODAY

DAILY FOF MOMENT
So I flicked on to Russell's account to sort out his farm (get somebody to harvest). Now is it just me or does "John" seem a bit slow? He spend a good 5minutes just walking around the farm like a nob before I told him to do the cabbages...

Day Sixteen of being Aflickionless...

I'm clutching at thin air this evening when it comes to writting this blog, but we will get by with a few fillers.

JayJay is dancing at Slinky this evening. It seems to be the event to be at this weekend and most people are going to it.

Maz is meant to be body painting Jenna this evening for Slinky, but hasn't heard boo from her all day. So who knows what's happening.

Maz also thinks she should stop looking at shoes and fashion from overseas, because it's just upsetting..."I want those shoes and that dress".

An icy polar blast will settle over the country this Queen's Birthday weekend, sending temperatures plummeting and bringing snow to extremely low levels. It is predicting snow down to 200m as far north as the Gisborne ranges and heavy dumps on Central North Island roads.

Staff at Zion Wildlife Gardens have been banned from contact with the big cat.

Two New Zealanders holidaying in Australia have tested positive for swine flu.

The $65 million Nautilus apartment tower in Orewa, is the latest victim of leaky-building syndrome. One source said the repair bill was expected to reach $19 million, which would make it New Zealand's most expensive leaky building.

Day Fifteen of being Aflickionless...

The team that lil Gav was on for 48 Hour Film Challenge this year won the Auckland regional finals and they now go on to compete against the other national winners. Awesome huh.

Another attempt on JayJay's life was made, this time by Corey. She made JayJay an omelet and put pepper in it. But fear not, JayJay only took a bite and is A-O-K!
JayJay is also trying to get in to be a stage dancer for the Basshunter gig, after reading in this blog that he is coming over here.

The Auckland Harbour Bridge turned 50 today (such a new country).

The Zion Wildlife Gardens has been temporarily closed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF). The move comes after keeper Dalu Mncube was mauled to death by a 260kg white male tiger called Abu on Wednesday. This also means that the "Lion Man" is back in the headlines.

Strong winds at Aoraki-Mt Cook have blown more than 50 icebergs down to the southern end of the Tasman Glacier Terminal Lake.

ZEN TEACHINGS
1. Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me for the path is narrow. In fact, just piss off and leave me alone.
2. Sex is like air. It's not that important unless you aren't getting any.
3. No one is listening until you fart.
4. Always remember you're unique. Just like everyone else.
5. Never test the depth of the water with both feet.
6. If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.
7. Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
8. If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
9. Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
10. If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably well worth it.
11. If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.
12. Some days you are the bug; some days you are the windscreen.
13. Don't worry; it only seems kinky the first time.
14. Good judgment comes from bad experience ... and most of that comes from bad judgment.
15. A closed mouth gathers no foot.
16. There are two excellent theories for arguing with women. Neither one works.
17. Generally speaking, you aren't learning much when your lips are moving.
18. Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
19. We are born naked, wet and hungry, and get slapped on our ass ... then things just keep getting worse.
20. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
