Let's see...business as normal today for Maz (for those of you playing the home game, that means she didn't do a hell of a lot, but the thought was there). However she did manage to go out shopping, nothing exciting just odds and ends for home, but wow that new Pack 'n' Save in Wairau Valley is cheap.
The media launch for the 2009 NZ Body Art Awards is next Thursday. Which means that entries for the event also close next Thursday...Oh Crap!

Tyler (JayJay's nephew) is 1 today. JayJay has also been living in her flat for 1 year today...and she still hasn't burnt it down. Maz & JayJay haven't seen each other in about a month, so more than likely they will be getting their rape on sometime soon.
A leading New Zealand entertainer accused of indecently assaulting a teenage girl is fighting to keep his name secret. The charge relates to an incident involving a 16-year-old after a show in Wellington, The Dominion Post reported. The accused's name and details were suppressed by Wellington District Court judge Denys Barry yesterday.
The Bay of Plenty region was shaken by a 5.1 magnitude earthquake this morning. The quake at 5.57am was located within 5km of Rotorua at a depth of 170km. There were no immediate reports of injury or damage.
Maori students should be granted open access to universities at any age with no qualifications, says Maori Affairs Minister Pita Sharples. Dr Sharples, who is also Associate Education Minister, said allocating Maori places regardless of their qualifications would boost Maori participation at higher levels of study. Maori involvement in tertiary study was higher than for any other ethnic group, but was centred around low-level courses, he said.A man who lit up a cannabis joint in the public gallery of the debating chamber in Parliament yesterday has been charged with possession of a class C drug.
Maori Affairs and Associate Education Minister Pita Sharples says he wants Maori to have free access to universities but only if they pass a course showing they have reached required standards. In a speech yesterday Dr Sharples, who is Maori Party co-leader, said Maori should be able to go to university without any qualifications. A Taser used on a man who died after being stunned went off 28 times at the time of the incident, say police. Queensland Police say data downloaded from the Taser used on a 39-year-old Antonio Galeano in Brandon, near Townsville, showed it operated on 28 separate cycles at the incident on June 12.
Oscar-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson is to head a review of the Film Commission - a body he once accused of making poor funding decisions. Jackson had agreed to lead a ministerial review of the commission to ensure it served the needs of the local industry and community, Minister for Arts Culture and Heritage Christopher Finlayson said.
