Day ThirtyThree of being Aflickionless...

It's a hell of a lot colder today, it has't felt this cold for about a week (wish it was summer though).

Maz just found out that she missed Auckland Photography Day (it was on June 6th) and she really wanted to take part this year in the competition. Oh well looks like it will have to wait another year.

This afternoon Maz made some yummy pikelets for Tina, Russell and the kids this afternoon (yes she was nice to the little kiddies & didn't hiss). And no need to pass out, Maz has not had kids while you've been gone, the kids are Tina & Matt's.

She (Maz) has also fallen in love with the most awesome looking shoes...WANT! Peter Pan Style Ankle Detail Shoe...*sigh*. Check them out here

The number of confirmed swine flu cases has risen by nearly two dozen in the past 24 hours to reach 109 and is expected to rise further tonight, the Ministry of Health says. Of the 23 new cases reported today, 13 were in Canterbury, seven in Auckland and three in Wellington.

The Rimutaka Hill road north of Wellington has closed again after briefly opening this afternoon during a break in the freezing weather that has hit much of the country today. State Highway 87 in the South Island was also closed because of the chilly conditions.

Celebrity chef Delia Smith - a champion of British cooking for more than 40 years - has frustrated her fans by telling them to eat lamb from New Zealand. (mmmm lamb)

The number of abortions performed in New Zealand dropped last year. According to Statistics New Zealand figures released today, 17,940 induced abortions were performed in the year ending December 2008, down 440 (2.4 per cent) from the 2007 year.

A rubbish truck left the road in the Kaimai Ranges yesterday, taking a chunk out of a bank before its trailer flipped and spilled waste over the road. State Highway 29 between Tauranga and Matamata was closed for about three hours while the road was cleared. Diversions were in place on each side of the highway.

CURRENT WEIRDNESS
The whole "new" computer thing. So annoying and weird.

DAILY FOF MOMENT
The reason why we didn't have the internet connected after the reinstall of windows was because Russell (the genius) forgot to put in the DNS numbers.
