Now I'm up to date with the blogs (sorry for being so slack). Today has been another day of sorting and unpacking for Maz, and also a day of looking after Russell as he is a bit worse for wear after the move.

A section of State Highway 25 through Waihi is closed due to a large hole in the road. Land Transport Agency says the hole is the size of a ute and is between 1.5-2 metres deep.
A New Zealand Air Force Orion has been hit by lightning off the coast of Canada. Wing Commander Nick Olney said the plane was taking part in a joint "exercise" and was carrying 16 people when lightening struck on Monday afternoon (NZ time). He said no one was injured.One of Auckland's busiest thoroughfares, Ponsonby Rd, may be converted into a reduced-speed zone. Auckland City's transport committee yesterday agreed to put a proposed limit of 40km/h for the 1.5km length of the road up for public consultation.
Waikato Hospital is urging people with minor illnesses to stay away after 12 of its patients and a staff member contracted the highly-contagious norovirus.
Auckland is officially one of the nicest places to live on the planet, says an international survey. The City of Sails has been ranked the 12th best city to live in, in the Economist intelligence unit's liveability survey. Wellington is ranked 23rd. (haha shame)
